Review: Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep Night Cream

If you've read my reviews of the Life Serum and Smoothing & Illuminating Cream from Vichy's Idéalia range, you'll know I'm a huge fan of their skin-perfecting formulas. Well, the experts at Vichy are back with a matching night cream, and I could not be more excited!

Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep Night Cream / £26.50

We all know it - that drawn, sallow look in our skin after a night out or a particularly rough week - well, fret no more, as Skin Sleep Night Cream aims to recreate the look of a good night's sleep! Smoothing the skin, boosting radiance and perfecting the complexion to reduce the look of fatigue is all in a night's work for Skin Sleep. Formulated with loads of skin-loving ingredients (hyaluronic acid and LHA to name but a few), the cream regenerates and repairs the skin, ensuring it looks rested and fresh in the morning.

That's all well and good on paper, but does it work? Well, I am pleased to announce that, for me, it really does! After a night using this little beauty, my skin has a bright, radiant, plumped look that appears to come with a good 8 hours' sleep. With prolonged use of the cream, I've found that the general appearance of my skin is more glowing and healthy, and it's the only product I reach for after a late night, safe in the knowledge that it won't show on my face the next morning!

Despite being fairly thick, the cream absorbs quickly, leaving skin feeling soft and moisturised almost instantly. Even on my combination skin, the rich formula does not exacerbate oil but in fact balances oil levels. It would be perfect for dry skin as it is extremely hydrating, though I feel on oily skin it would work beautifully too - isn't it great when that happens? And just look at that gorgeous packaging - a heavy, pink tub with a mirrored lid; it's what dreams are made of!

Has your skin had a good nights' sleep?
