My Little Sweet Box November 2015

This month's sweet-themed box really excited me (and my sweet tooth), and once I saw the gorgeous tin - which is now proudly storing biscuits in my kitchen - I shrieked with delight. However, I'm sad to say that the rest of the box left a slightly sour taste...

My Little Box / £11 (+£3.95 delivery) per month

Cooking Apron / My Little Corner - Whilst this is a fairly cute little cooking apron, adorned in the same print as the tin, it fell a bit short of anything I'd desire - both literally and figuratively. This is more like a half-apron, only covering your lower half whilst cooking, albeit with a handy pocket for implements or recipe cards, etc. To me, though, an apron should cover you from your neck downwards to actually protect your clothes from getting covered in flour and the like. Maybe I'm just being picky, but it just isn't something I'll use.

Jar Stickers / My Little Corner - Perhaps my favourite item in the box, these stickers are very stylish and will look great with any decor. There are stickers for your flour, pasta and sugar, tea and coffee jars (to name but a few) and they are sure to make a great, simple kitchen update!

Fabulous Foaming Face Wash / Bliss - At £7 for a mere 60ml bottle, this face wash isn't cheap, so I'm glad to get a chance to try it before I buy it. With exfoliating beads and chamomile to soothe the skin, I'm hopeful that I'll enjoy this sample, though I remain dubious with it being a "foaming" face wash in fear that it may dry out my skin. But, hey, that remains to be seen...

So Elixir / Yves Rocher - Unfortunately I can't get excited about this sample, having received numerous miniature perfume samples by this brand before. Generally I'm not a fan of receiving perfume samples in these subscription boxes, as they tend to be only the freebies you can receive at any beauty counter. Tie this in with the fact that this fragrance is deep, musky and really quite unpleasant, and it doesn't fill me with joy. We can't win them all!

Sweet Hand Cream / My Little Beauty - A sweet, simple hand cream with a slight marshmallow scent that does exactly what it says on the tin. No muss, no fuss - this hand cream is smooth, delicate and hydrating, and the bottle is rather pretty. Can't complain, but it isn't doing much to excite me, yaknow?

I think it may take just one more "meh" MLB box to force an unsubscribe out of me, so we shall see what next month holds in store with our fingers crossed! Did you enjoy this month's selection?
