Review: Roger & Gallet Bienfaits Invigorating Shower Gel

If you read my review of Roger & Gallet Dry Oil Spray (here), you'll know I absolutely love the brand, their luxurious scents and high quality formulas... and their new shower gel is no different! Cleansing, hydrating and gorgeous-smelling? Yes, please!

I'm no stranger to trying out new shower gels, and for the most part I enjoy their scents and their foaming but I never really feel the need to repurchase any of them. Until I tried this one. This new plant-based offering from Roger & Gallet is suitable for all skin types (hallelujah sensitive skin sufferers!), and contains no soap, sulphates, parabens or colours so it couldn't be kinder to your skin! It aims to cleanse and hydrate the skin gently, all whilst smelling like a heavenly blood orange with a hint of musk.

The clear gel lives up to all its claims of being cleansing and hydrating, leaving skin soft, supple and not dried out at all as with some other shower gels. Formula-wise, it is incredibly delicate and works into a light lather, which gives it a luxurious, high-quality vibe. The best way I can describe it is feeling more like a body cleanser than a shower gel - of course I'm aware that's essentially what a shower gel is, but it feels more like a good quality skincare item than just your average shower gel.

It is obviously fairly expensive for a shower gel, coming in at just under a tenner, but it does feel incredibly self-indulgent and a small amount goes a long way. And just look at that bottle - it borders on being thirst-quenching! This is definitely a shower gel I'll be repurchasing as I'm absolutely hooked on the delicious twist on the blood orange scent, not to mention the cleansing properties and skin-friendly ingredients!

What are your favourite shower gel scents?
