Review: Dr PAWPAW Original Balm

We all love a multi-tasker, and this multipurpose balm from Dr PAWPAW is seriously amazing - excuse me whilst I run out and buy five large tubes!

Dr PAWPAW Original Balm25ml (£6.95) or 200ml (£29.99)

This ultimate multi-functional balm is fragrance-free and made with some lovely natural ingredients. It can be used for just about all your skincare and haircare needs, from moisturiser, primer, makeup remover and lip balm to cuticle softener, nappy cream, skin irritation cream, hair conditioning treatment and for hair styling. Whew, I wasn't lying when I said it's multi-purpose was I? This little baby really is a do-it-all wonder that should be a staple in all handbags, bathroom cabinets and bedside tables!

The formula of the balm is incredibly soft and feels really high quality. It applies like a dream, absorbs beautifully into the skin and leaves no greasy residue whatsoever. I've had three main uses for it so far; lip balm, cuticle softener and hair tamer. On my lips, it is silky smooth and hydrating, with no stickiness or gloopiness like some other balms, and it is actually the only lip balm to rival my beloved Blistex MedPlus (review here) as it leaves them so supple in such a short space of time! As for my cuticles, it softens and hydrates like a dream, and it makes short work of nourishing any dry skin on my hands in general too, not to mention my elbows and heels! For my hair, it smooths and de-frizzes perfectly, whilst offering a surprisingly good level of hold. Basically, it's the perfect travel product as it really can turn its hand to anything!

Available in Clear, it is also now stocked in new tinted Red or Peach shades for cheeks and lips, which promise a pop of colour as well as amazing hydration. The small tube is really useful to pop in your bag, and I've found it has quickly become an essential to me - I use it every day for various purposes! It is one of those products that comes around every so often that I actually use up instead of leaving it lying in a drawer after a few uses, and I know I'll be stocking up on the large 200ml size as soon as my small tube runs out!

Don't you just love it when you find a product that can do. it. all!?
