Review: Arbonne Makeup Primer +20% discount!

You may have seen my Arbonne haul post last week (here), where I received tons of lovely vegan-friendly skincare samples. Well, the tiny 3ml sample of their makeup primer was so good that I was completely sold in just a few wonderful uses!

Arbonne Makeup Primer / £27 for 30ml

This makeup primer is just like any other primer in that it aims to create a smooth, long-lasting canvas for your makeup with visibly diminished pores and fine lines. Where it differs, however, is that it is chemical-free, plant-based, dermatologically-tested and vegan, containing calming green tea extract amongst other amazing ingredients. In terms of being guilt-free and skin-loving, you really couldn't do much better than that! But it doesn't stop there...

The lightweight formula is so soft and airy, it smoothes on to the skin like a dream and just disappears within milliseconds, leaving nothing but a visibly smoothed canvas and a very slight healthy "glow". It feels just like water, refreshing the skin and perfectly prepping it for makeup.  No stickiness, no oiliness, no tightness - just a fresh base with almost "blurred" imperfections.

Makeup glides on top of it like nothing I've used before, sitting beautifully and with an almost airbrushed feel. When it comes to lasting power, this primer could compete with the best of them! It's been incredibly warm where I live lately, but this primer has stood up to humidity with ease even through full days and nights out! It is so comfortable to wear that my sensitive skin is not irritated at all, and in fact feels calmed and soothed, as though it's acting as a barrier to any harmful chemicals in my makeup.

A 30ml bottle is large for a primer, especially this one since such a small amount spreads so far. With the pump bottle, there will be no wastage and it is completely hygienic! Yes, it is a little expensive for a primer, but I feel like I've truly invested in a product that will not only be kind to my skin, but will also help my makeup live up to its full potential - and what could be better than that?

If you'd like to treat yourself to anything on the Arbonne website, the lovely Claire has offered my fabulous readers 20% off if you contact her at claireeaden@hotmail.com! Trust me, you won't regret it!

*I received nothing in return for this review - the primer was bought with my own money and I do not earn commission in any way from sales*
