May 2015 Favourites!

This month, I've rediscovered some old favourites, like the Rimmel foundation and Benefit set, and have found some new products that are sure to become staples in my beauty arsenal.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation / £7.99 for 30ml

A true tried-and-tested favourite, this foundation is one of the best high street foundations I've ever used. The formula is incredibly blendable and buildable, offering great medium coverage and a natural finish, not to mention the added SPF 20! I've been reaching for this little gem every day since I bought it, and it's seen me through the hottest days and longest nights without melting, fading or making me greasy. Not bad for a cheapie!

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner / £12

I'm a huge eyeliner junkie, and I always seem to come back to the Skinny liner from Eyeko for the amazing control the thin brush gives you. It is perfect to create a subtle line, and can be used at an angle to create a thicker line too, not to mention the fact that it is blacker than black and stays put all day without smudging.

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado / £20 for 14g

I'm sure you've all heard me bang on about this eye cream enough by now, so if you want a full review you can find it here. I will say, though, that I've never loved an eye cream quite like this one with its super creamy texture, soothing properties and hydrating benefits. A little pricey perhaps, but definitely worth it for keeping my eyes in peak condition!

Lush Red Fun / £5

When Lush released Fun, I didn't have a huge desire to try it, but having received it in a gift box recently I gave it a go and I absolutely loved it! It can be used as a shampoo, bubble bar, soap or even crumbled into your water to hand wash clothes. Although it's meant for children to play with in the bath, I've found the orangey scent and mountains of bubbles it creates to be a lovely bathtime treat.

MAC No Faux Pas Lipstick / £15.50

I wrote a full rave review on this matte lipstick here, and for good reason - MAC have outdone themselves with No Faux Pas, and it is such a shame it's a limited edition shade. It is smooth, glides on like a dream and is super pigmented, leaving your lips looking super bright and feeling fabulous. I've been getting a lot of wear out of this baby!

MAC Mehr Lipstick / £15.50

More subtle but just as fun as No Faux Pas, the creamy formula of Mehr is absolutely heavenly to wear, and the my-lips-but-better effect makes it super wearable and fab for day or night time wear. It is a medium pink shade with a blue undertone and is highly pigmented, wearing for around 6 hours comfortably. My go-to everyday shade.

Benefit She's So Jetset

I recently rediscovered this gift set and fell in love with it all over again due to the First Class Face Powder and beautiful eyeshadow shades in Champagne Please, Gold Card, Pretty in Mink and Elegant Espresso. This really is the perfect set to take away with you, despite being a little bulky - but hey, look how pretty!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour Deep Treatment / £4.99 for 250ml

Ahh I do love an Aussie product, and this one leaves my hair silky, luscious, bouncy and vibrant - basically everything I would ever want it to be! My tresses look red-carpet ready after using this 3 minute treatment, which is something I have never been able to say before! I use it at least once, if not twice, a week to keep my locks in tip-top condition.

Model's Own Ice Neon Nail Polish in Bubblegum / £4.99

I spoke about this nail polish a few summers ago (review here) and I still love it just as much now as I did then. As soon as the sun pops out, the first thing I do is coat my nails in this baby for a super vibrant pink pop of colour! The formula is dreamy and it just gives me that summery feeling! I may try a few more shades from the Ice Neon collection, but Bubblegum will always be my favourite.

I'd love to see your monthly favourites!
