Glamour Summer Beauty Edit 2015

It's pretty much a given that as soon as Glamour release their new Beauty Edit Box each season in collab with Latest in Beauty, I'll be quick to snap one up - the latest Summer edit does not disappoint!

The watermelon-adorned box is packed full of beauty goodies, none of which are disappointing which is a rare find for me when it comes to these type of boxes. I even found some products I'd never heard of - again another rare occurrence for me - and I just couldn't resist applying the tanning minerals and lip crayon straight away because they were just too gorgeous!

Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals (Sunkissed) & Kabuki Brush / £35 for 9g

Looking like any other mineral foundation or powder, Trystal Minerals is the world's first self-tanning bronzer. It sweeps on the face (with the very soft Kabuki brush included - nice touch!) like a normal bronzer, providing an instant dash of pigmented matte bronze to the skin, but actually develops into a natural medium tan that claims to last for up to 5 days! Vita Liberata were fairly generous with their 3g sample, which I think having applied it once already will last for perhaps another three uses. I was a little brush-friendly on my initial application and it left my face a little orange, so just beware of that, but nevertheless I do like the results and the tan it has left is very natural. There's also a discount code included in the box for money off the full sized product - I may have to treat myself!

Pixi Glow Tonic / £18 for 250ml

Only a small sample this time, but that means I'll be saving this to take away with me on my next trip. Glow Tonic is essentially a toner for all skin types which exfoliates the skin and aims to firm and tighten it. I've never used it before but I've heard such great things, and I like the fact that it's alcohol-free and contains no artificial colours so each bottle may vary slightly in shade - pretty cool, huh? Aloe vera and ginseng are prominent in the Glow Tonic, which are two ingredients that love my skin, so I'm definitely excited to try this one!

Nails Inc Gel Effect Nail Polish (Kensington Passage) / £15

Feast your eyes on that shade! Kenginston Passage is a gorgeous bright coral shade which will be perfect for summer against a tan, and the Gel Effect formula of these polishes are amazing. I've had a few before and they are incredibly impressive, almost salon quality, with a high-shine finish and wide brush for perfect application. The colour is highly pigmented too, so it is easy for even the worst DIY-manicurists (I hold my hands up to this!) to achieve flawless gel nails. Love this!

L'Occitane Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo & Conditioner / £17 each

I've received samples of this L'Occitane shampoo and conditioner duo in the past and still haven't gotten round to using it - *slap on the wrist for the beauty blogger* - so having received it again I think the world is trying to tell me something. These repairing hair products are formulated for dry and damaged hair to boost shine and strength with tons of essential oils, vitamins and amino acids. Having read a good amount of rave reviews about these products, not to mention the fact that L'Occitane is one of my favourite beauty brands, I am certainly going to pull my finger out and actually use these!

Caudalie Divine Oil / £17.50 for 50ml

Another product I've been sent before, but this time I actually used it all up so I'm glad to get this little refill. As most of you are probably aware, Divine Oil is a multipurpose dry oil that packs a serious hydrating punch, full of nourishing oils and antioxidants that just adore skin, hair and nails. I absolutely love adding a few drops of this into my bath for silky smooth skin, and it is perfect for softening cuticles and taming unruly hair. It feels really luxurious and hydrating, like a fabulous pampering treat, and the subtle floral fragrance is soothing and lingers for ages.

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon (Peach on the Beach) / £7.99

I adore lip crayons, particularly the Revlon line, so I was really pleased to get to try this one from Bourjois. It is slightly different in that it isn't massively pigmented; in fact, it acts more like a tinted lip balm despite advertising as a waterproof glossy lipstick. The formula is nice and smooth, gliding on beautifully, but the colour payoff is poor and it does cling in dry patches. However, the shade is a lovely muted coral which leaves a subtle tint to the lips if left on for a few hours. Containing SPF15 and feeling really hydrating, the Color Boost Lip Crayon is a lovely everyday product for the summer, but I don't agree with its claims of 10 hour wear.

Eucerin Sun Creme SPF30 Face / £16 for 50ml

You may know by now that I'm pretty much obsessed with sun protection, having the palest skin prone to burning like a lobster. Eucerin Sun Creme is really for dry skin, which I don't have so I am concerned about oiliness, but it is also suitable for very sensitive skin so I'm definitely going to give it a try as my skin can be pretty temperamental at times. It is water resistant and offers a high level of UVA and UVB protection, so you can't really go too far wrong - I'll be using this one for days sans makeup at the beach.

Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish / £18 for 150ml

I've only ever tried a few products from Balance Me, none of which I particularly fell head over heels for, so I was a little disheartened when I saw this bottle. However, the fact that it is a body product rather than anything to put near my face (where the problems lay last time) alleviated my worries and I'm actually really excited to use the Body Polish now! It is a firming body polish which contains antioxidants, and it aims to tone the skin and tackle cellulite. My legs and arms are in dire need of a good exfoliation at the moment as I've let them get slightly neglected, so I'm hoping this exfoliator does the trick!

Seekers of the Sun Temporary Tattoos / £10

Now, this is a brand I've never heard of but I'm so glad this box has introduced me to them. I'm not a tattoo type of girl - the permanency of tattoos is incompatible with my fickle nature - but I do enjoy a little body adornment here and there, so these temporary tattoos are perfect for me! I have a few events coming up and am booked in next week for a set of squoval white acrylic nails, so a couple of these dainty golden tattoos will look gorgeous adorning a finger or two. This set was designed for the Glamour box only and is full of gorgeous delicate designs, but the Seekers of the Sun website has more sheets of pretty golden temporary tattoos too. A great little addition to the box!

So that's it - a great little selection of beauty bits I think. Do you love the box as much as I do?
