My Little Provence Box May 2015

If you read my review of last month's My Little Box (here), you'll know it's a treat I really look forward to every month. May's box is based on the gorgeous French region of Provence - expect all things chic, sunny and ever so relaxed!

My Little Box / £11 plus p+p per month

I fell head over heels with the box design as soon as I saw it - that French gal has style! There's also a gorgeously illustrated card inside with a quote and an enviable sunbathing scene. I'm pretty sure that should be my life, no? If that wasn't cute enough, there was a set of Provence Doll Magnets (£6 RRP) included - lovely idea, even if I might not really use it (one for the younger girls in my life perhaps?). And as ever, the My Little World magazine which always makes for a great read. Okay, so onto the products...

Within the "Sunny Things Inside" box - which I will be repurposing since it's so pretty (perhaps to hold cotton buds?) - is a gorgeous gold-coloured metal cuff, which is definitely something I will wear. It is called a Sunny Cuff and retails for £15, and it comes with 2 shades of blue thread which you're meant to loop in the cuff holes to make a custom design! Pretty cute, huh? I do enjoy getting jewellery in boxes like this as it just makes a lovely change to the usual beauty bits.

Talking of beauty bits, and the little pouch (which screams tampon holder to me, I don't know?) is filled with four L'Occitane minis, which is obviously where the Provence link comes in. They've covered all bases with their Mer & Mistral Shower Gel (50ml), which smells like a gorgeous fresh sea breeze; a super nourishing and luxurious Verbena Body Lotion (30ml); Verbena Leaf Soap (25g) which is actually shaped like a leaf and has little exfoliating particles; and one of my all-time favourite hand creams, Roses et Reines Hand and Nail Cream (10ml). I'm genuinely really pleased with this little selection, as L'Occitane is a brand I adore and since I'll be travelling a lot in the coming weeks, it is so handy to have some travel sized products that are actually good quality!

Lastly, a product I didn't have terribly high hopes for - I'm raaather picky dahling - is the own-branded Crayon Épatant (Amazing Eyeshadow Crayon) which retails for £9 and has genuinely impressed me. It is a metallic bronze shade, comes with a twisty end so it doesn't need sharpening, and it glides on like nothing I've ever worked with before. I know what you're thinking - if it glides, it slides! - but alas, this baby has some serious staying power! It stands up to a whole day of wear without running, fading or creasing, and used along the lashline beneath a black liner gives the most perfect Mila Kunis-esque flirty eye! I'll be using this again and again.

So it looks as though My Little Box has done it again! Did you like this month's box?

  1. This looks amazing. I used to subscribe to glossybox but as the months went on I was more and more disappointed. I did love receiving something every month though. Maybe I'll change to My Little box! Love L'Occitane!

    1. I was exactly the same! I also find that the diversity of these My Little Boxes makes it really unpredictable and exciting each month! X
