If you've read my blog for a while you'll know I'm a huge Glamour magazine fan, and you may have even read my reviews of their last two beauty boxes in collaboration with Latest in Beauty (here and here). Now spring has sprung, and Glamour has once again released a fabulous new box of beauty goodies for me to indulge in - and boy, was it a treat!

Glamour Spring Edit Box / £16.99
IN THE BOX;
Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat / £6.99 RRP
Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss in Snog / £5.49 RRP
Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 07 / £6.90 RRP
Beauty UK High Brow Definition Kit / £3.99 RRP
Elie Saab L'Eau Couture Parfum / £30.50 - £46.50 RRP
Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask / £7.65 RRP
Starting with the things I haven't yet tried, I was super excited to see the Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask in the box since I often find myself loitering around it when I'm shopping but never seem to buy it. As I am taking the brave step of getting my hair lightened (quite significantly!) next week, I have decided to save this mask to treat my hair once it has been bleached. What I can say, however, is that this mask smells absolutely divine, and it promises to provide deep hydration and improve elasticity for thick, dry hair. It is to be applied to damp hair and left for 5-7 minutes before being rinsed out, and as it contains a high amount of my favourite skin and haircare ingredient, argan oil, it is sure to leave tresses shiny, soft and manageable. Having tried Moroccanoil products before and reading an overwhelming amount of rave reviews, I have high hopes for this one - I'll keep you posted!
The other products I have yet to try are the two from the Revlon Gel Envy line. First, I must say I am so pleased to have received the to-die-for coral/pink "Pocket Aces" shade I did (there are 3 variations in the boxes) as it is exactly the exotic shade I was looking for to transition into spring. I am also pleased that both the nail enamel and Diamond Top Coat were included to get the full effect. The combination of the two polishes promises a salon quality manicure in two easy steps. I love the trend towards high street brands releasing new gel nail lines - when it comes to long-lasting colour and shine, gel really cannot be beaten! Unfortunately, I haven't kept up with my OPI Nail Envy routine at all lately since I've been so busy working, so my nails are suffering (oh, the shame!) and I am waiting for them to return to their former glory before experimenting with these gel polishes.
On to a product which I actually have tried and loved - Nuxe Creme Fraiche Mask really is something quite lovely! Being called a "mask", it invokes thoughts of thick clay in my head, so I was really pleasantly surprised to find this mask applies exactly like a thick cream which sinks mostly into the skin straight away, and once it has been left on for 10 minutes, the residue can simply be rubbed into your face! So really, I wouldn't call it a mask at all; rather, it is a thick moisturiser which requires some extra rubbing in. However, it is rather brilliant in that it can be applied to your eye contour as well as your face, it applies like a dream, and it does what it claims to do - leaves your parched skin hydrated for 24 hours! A lovely, hydrating treat for my skin.
I found the makeup products to be amongst my favourites in the selection, and despite being a matte lip girl, I have found myself reaching for Rimmel Oh My Gloss! every day since I got the box. I know, it was a shock to me too, but let me tell you why. First, the shade is a beautiful muted neutral pink which compliments my skin tone perfectly, and adds a gorgeous dimension to any lipstick I pop it on top of. Even worn alone, it has a fantastic colour payoff, and the lack of any glitter or stickiness means this gloss is super easy to apply and wear. The effect is just a gorgeous sheen to the lips in a my-lips-but-better shade. What's not to love? I'll certainly be repurchasing this little gem when it runs out - have I become a gloss convert?
Another of the products I've been reaching for daily is the fabulous Kiko Stick Eyeshadow. The shade I received (of a variation of 3 in the boxes) is a beautiful light gold with a hint of taupe, which has proven to be the perfect everyday shade when blended all over the lid, and an absolutely gorgeous highlight on the inner corner when going for a more dramatic look. I love that it comes in a stick form because there really is no need for a brush, especially handy when travelling, and it glides on the lid like a dream. Seriously, one of the creamiest shadows I've ever used! And they really do last all day on the lid without creasing, meaning I've added every shade of this little baby to my wishlist. (Really though, I am obsessed).
I, along with the rest of the world, am having a real brow moment currently, and I'm always on the lookout for the next brow product to get that super defined look, so I was of course really excited when I saw the Beauty UK High Brow Kit in the box. The kit not only contains 3 brow shades and a clear wax, it also comes with a double-ended brush to apply them with and a mini set of precision tweezers (which are actually pretty good!). I've found a mixture of the light and medium shade to work well for my brows, and have actually been using the black shade as an eyeliner which it is perfect for. I've had a little issue with the slanted edge of the brush, which is unfortunately not dense or thin enough for precise application and has an overall effect of being bushy - but to apply the black shade as eyeliner, it works an absolute treat, and I can just use another slanted brush for the brow shades. The wax veers on the side of showing up slightly white, but with a light application, it does keep brows in place all day and night. In all, a good little multi-tasking product for such a small price.
I've only ever tried a few things by ModelCo here and there, but I must say their ModelCo Creme Rouge Cheeks and Lips has made me want to try more from the brand! The "Just Peachy" shade which is included in every box actually leans slightly coral, but it is truly beautiful. Like, so beautiful that it has worked its way into one of my favourite cheek shades - and that's really saying something! Usually with these products for cheeks and lips, I find that they work far better on the cheeks and lack slightly on the lips, but the formula is so creamy and the colour is so rich that it is perfect for both. On the cheeks, it is long-lasting and vibrant, whilst on the lips it adds a beautiful rosy look which is surprisingly durable. This is definitely one to take in a weekend bag!
As you can tell, I truly enjoyed this box and will get use from everything in it, which is incredibly rare and is no mean feat at all!
