Christmas Beauty Gift Sets Haul!

Christmas is my favourite time of year, not only for the food and the quality time spent with family and friends, but also for the amazing sales on beauty gift sets!

My Little Magic Box December 2015!

Following last month's disappointing "Sweet" box (review here), this month's box was really make or break for my My Little Box subscription, and after a lot of "oohs" and "ahhs" opening December's "Magic" box, I'm happy to announce that my subscription remains intact.

Review: MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick

MAC Velvet Teddy recently cemented its' place in the Hall of Makeup Fame when Kylie Jenner named it as her go-to lipstick for creating her famous full pout. Since then, you'd be lucky to find it in stock at any MAC counter, not to mention online - you might in fact fall upon the Holy Grail sooner. Needless to say, it certainly has a reputation to live up to - so is it worth the hype?

Review: Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep Night Cream

If you've read my reviews of the Life Serum and Smoothing & Illuminating Cream from Vichy's Idéalia range, you'll know I'm a huge fan of their skin-perfecting formulas. Well, the experts at Vichy are back with a matching night cream, and I could not be more excited!

Pink Parcel November 2015

Alongside this month's selection of sanitary items, chocolate and tea, there was quite a little bumper pack of lovely goodies from the Pink Parcel team. It's not often I like every item in a subscription box, but this month I'm pleasantly surprised to say that that's the case!

My Little Sweet Box November 2015

This month's sweet-themed box really excited me (and my sweet tooth), and once I saw the gorgeous tin - which is now proudly storing biscuits in my kitchen - I shrieked with delight. However, I'm sad to say that the rest of the box left a slightly sour taste...

Christmas Finishing Touches!

Christmas is my favourite time of year, so I relish the chance to add some festive finishing touches to my decor. During my recent trip to London, I found a few Christmassy bits and bobs to bring home, and I thought I'd share a few of my favourites with you!

Review: Temple Spa The Elevator & Exalt Neck Gel

Having never had the pleasure of trying a Temple Spa product before, I jumped at the chance to trial their luxurious neck-firming Exalt gel and heavenly massaging tool The Elevator. Formulated to spa-standards, these products are a touch of luxe in your everyday routine - and they show results!

Review: Roger & Gallet Gingembre Rouge Sorbet Body Lotion

Having tried two products from Roger & Gallet before - their orange-scented dry oil (here) and juicy hydrating shower gel (here) - I had high hopes when I was sent a refreshing body lotion from their new Gingembre Rouge range. It's safe to say it has not disappointed since after my first use I was well and truly hooked!

My Little Fashion Box September 2015

It's well established that I'm a huge fan of My Little Box, with their amazing selection of lifestyle and beauty items delivered each month like a beautifully-packaged gift to myself. Well, this month the theme is fashion, and I think it's safe to say it could be my favourite ever box!

Birthday Celebrations & An Update!

It's been a little longer than usual since I last posted, and with my birthday and other new things happening in my life recently, I've found myself with a lot less time on my hands to write. Anyway, I've got on top of it all now with a new schedule, so I thought I'd talk a little about my birthday and what's been going on...

Birchbox September 2015!

It's Birchbox's birthday this month, so the pretty box is packed full of goodies from their home country, the US of A! After last month's disappointing box (here), I was pleased to see a few products this month that I'll really use...

Pink Parcel August 2015

After last month's mishap whereby I received a duplicate parcel to the previous month, I was hoping for big things from this month's Pink Parcel, and I'm happy to say it delivered. I love the changes in the delivery system - they now have 3 delivery dates to choose from per month - and alongside my sanitary items, I received a few lovely little products to brighten my period...

Saturday Night Makeup #7

It's been a while since I posted a Saturday Night Makeup post, partly because I always forget to photograph my makeup, and partly because I've not had the occasions much lately. But last weekend I had a birthday to go to, and I made the most of some of my lovely new makeup!

Review: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

You may have read my Bioderma review (here) where I raved about its amazing formula and even called Holy Grail, and whilst I still love it, my attention was recently directed towards Garnier's new offering instead when it arrived in a beauty box.

Empties #1

I've never done an empties post before but lately I've started getting the urge to streamline my skincare and makeup (overflowing drawers are an issue) and felt I had to document the products I'm getting rid of...or indeed the ones I've repurchased for my newly reduced beauty arsenal!

My Little Gypset Box August 2015

Anyone else never heard of a 'Gypset'? Well after a little research, I understand that it is essentially a jet-setting, care-free gypsy type, and the lifestyle items in this month's My Little Box couldn't fit this theme better!

Review: Roger & Gallet Bienfaits Invigorating Shower Gel

If you read my review of Roger & Gallet Dry Oil Spray (here), you'll know I absolutely love the brand, their luxurious scents and high quality formulas... and their new shower gel is no different! Cleansing, hydrating and gorgeous-smelling? Yes, please!

Birchbox August 2015!

Following last month's fantastic little BirchBag (review here), I was hoping for big things from this month's Beauty Junkie-themed selection, and whilst there are a few highlights, I felt the products fell a little short.

Through the Mailbox #1

Hello, lovelies, and welcome to my new series! It's a pretty simple concept but one I've been meaning to try out for ages, and I'm really looking forward to sharing with you some of the fab products that've found their way into my letterbox each week/day/month depending how busy my mailman has been!

Review: Arbonne Makeup Primer +20% discount!

You may have seen my Arbonne haul post last week (here), where I received tons of lovely vegan-friendly skincare samples. Well, the tiny 3ml sample of their makeup primer was so good that I was completely sold in just a few wonderful uses!

Review: Arbonne Chocolate Protein Shakes +20% Off Code!

You may have seen my huge Arbonne Haul post last week where I tried loads of fab products from the vegan, plant-based brand Arbonne. Well, I loved these protein shakes so much that I went on to buy a dozen more - let me tell you why I think they beat any other protein shake hands down...

Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

It's been a while since I posted about the foundation I'm wearing currently, and since I just repurchased (!) this little beauty from Rimmel, I thought I'd tell you why I'm enjoying it so much...

Beauty Lust List #12: Workwear Edition!

As I'm starting a new job, I decided to do a few posts on work fashion which started last week with my What's In My Work Bag post. Office jobs have the great added benefit of office fashion, and high street stores have really upped their game lately when it comes to workwear. Here is my pick of the crop!

I Am Unstoppable - #LikeAGirl

Ever felt held back or boxed in by society because you're female? Told you can't do something because you're a girl? Thought so - and that's where Always' #LikeAGirl campaign comes in!

What's in my Work Bag?

I just got a new job at my local Council after finishing an office job elsewhere, so having treated myself to a new work bag I decided to show you the essential bits I take to my 9-5...

Huge Arbonne Skin, Hair & Health Sample Haul! +20% off Code!

When the lovely Claire at Arbonne got in touch asking if I'd like to test a range of small samples from a few of their ranges, I jumped at the chance when I heard their products are all completely chemical-free, plant-based, dermatologically-tested and vegan. Not too shabby huh?

Weight Loss Wednesday: Weeks 3 & 4

The thing I enjoy most about this blog series is that you guys get to come on my weight loss journey with me, not only through the successes but also the trials and tribulations. I had to take a few weeks off due to personal circumstances but am back to losing weight again now, and have been amping up my nutrition!

My Little Road Trip Box July 2015

It's that time again! This month, My Little Box are going on a road trip and have packed the beautifully-presented box with some fabulous travel essentials!

Review: Stila In The Light Eyeshadow Palette

It took me so long to get on the bandwagon with the Stila In The Light palette, mostly down to owning so many eyeshadow palettes they're bursting out of drawers. But when I saw one that was like new for sale for £15, I could hold off no longer, and it has left me wondering how I lived without it in my life for so long...

BirchBag (!) July 2015

I've subscribed to many different beauty boxes in the past but sacked them off in favour of boxes featuring more lifestyle items (hello, My Little Box!) due to the predictability of each month's selections and my drawers becoming full of tiny perfume samples. But when I saw this month's BirchBox features a gorgeous transparent PVC bag, I had to give it a whirl!

Lush Bath Products for Sunny Days!

To me, baths evoke scenes of warming up after a cold day with the wind and rain lapping at the window, but there's something to be said for taking a soak even when the warm weather kicks in.

(I wrote it as a guest post on the lovely Kelly's blog The Vegan Taff.)

Review: SlenderToxTea 14 Day TeaTox

I decided recently to get into shape, so I was thrilled when I was sent a 14 Day TeaTox to test as a way to kick start my diet, detox my body and boost my weight loss!

Pink Parcel July 2015!

It's not often I love every product in a subscription box, but Pink Parcel's July box is packed with so many fab products it's impossible to fault it!

Review: Soap & Glory Sit Tight 4D

I never thought I really had a problem with the back of my legs or thighs at all, but when I was sent Sit Tight 4D by the lovely people at Boots I thought I'd give it a test and see if it could make a difference. And, boy, did it!

Review: No7 Pop & Glow Duo in Sunrise Glow

A 2-in-1 blush and highlighter in a handy cream stick? Yes please! This new release from No7 is a fab little product for quick application and on-the-go touch-ups!

Review: Travalo Refill Perfume Spray

There's nothing better than a simple product that really works, and the Travalo is just that - this refillable perfume spray can be taken anywhere for an on-the-go spritz, and will save so much room in any travel bag!

June 2015 Favourites!

I don't have as many favourites this month as I've been sticking to the products from April and May a lot, but I have found a few little gems this month!

Review: Dr PAWPAW Original Balm

We all love a multi-tasker, and this multipurpose balm from Dr PAWPAW is seriously amazing - excuse me whilst I run out and buy five large tubes!

Review: Timeless Truth Charcoal Detox Brightening Mask

You know I'm committed to my blog if I'm willing to post a big scary picture of myself with a cloth face mask on! But this one is totally worth it, as this little baby provides the perfect pampering treat for my skin with tons of amazing benefits.

My Top 5 Sun Safety Products

It's so important to protect ourselves from the sun, but sometimes it's difficult to choose the products that will work for us, leaving us with greasy skin, white streaks or a flaky film all over! Over the years, I've put tons of sun lotions and sun safety products to the test, so I wanted to share with you the ones that have come out on top...

My Little French Riviera Box June 2015

A little bit of the French Riviera from my home? Yes please! This month's box is not only astoundingly pretty, it also includes some fab little products - My Little Box have done it yet again!

Beauty Lust List #11: Colour Pop Dining Room Edition!

My last interior design post went down well with you lovely lot (see my White Bedroom Decor Wishlist) so I thought I'd move away from the white theme and show you how I want to create a colour-pop dining room!
My vision is to have fairly plain, pale furniture and a wooden floor, then incorporate some pops of colour using accessories, artwork, candles and soft furnishings!

My dining room has a set of patio doors so I'd love to dress them in these gorgeous cranberry coloured curtains from Yorkshire Linen to give the whole room a vibrant lift. They are the perfect balance of elegant and fun, setting off the colour pop perfectly without being too in-your-face! Even better, they're really inexpensive so I could even mix it up each season with a different set. I just discovered Yorkshire Linen, and they have tons of lovely home furnishings at a really good price, so it's easy to change up the style as and when needed.

Victoria & Abigail Illustrated Tapas Bowls / £19.95 Not On The High Street

I love a pretty illustration, and these quirky tapas bowls have some super cute artworks on the inside with a gorgeous bright exterior! Tapas is one of my favourite things to eat, and I am going for the feel of lots of bowls and plates of food dotted around the dining room table so my friends can sit, eat and have fun.

Rachel Powell Woodstock Plate / £20 Not On The High Street

A bright yellow plate with a little birdie pattern - what's not to love?! Again, this fits in with my tapas idea and can be used to pile food on and create a more casual dinner feel. Yellow is one of my favourite colours so I wanted to incorporate at least one bright yellow accessory into my dining room!

Colour Pop Candle Holders / £49 I Love Retro

I use candles all the time and I love to use them to provide lighting for ambience at dinnertime too. My favourite things about these candle holders are their different sizes, which means they'd look great gathered together as a centerpiece, or a few dotted throughout the room with an odd assortment of candle shapes, sizes and colours. It's all about creating variation, interest and fun!

A dining room wouldn't be complete without a pretty set of cocktail glasses, and obviously I like the mix-and-match thing, making this set great for putting out on display when not in use. I'd perhaps keep them on a cocktail cabinet or tray with some ingredients ready for cocktail hour!

Fruit Bowl Cushion / £26 Oliver Bonas

I've had my eye on this fruity cushion for ages now, and I think it would tie in with the curtains nicely. Again, it's a really fun, vibrant cushion but I don't think it crosses the line of tacky. For summer, it'll be perfect strewn across a chair - perhaps the rest of my cushions will be plain oranges, pinks and greens to keep this one as the standout?

*This post was sponsored, but as ever, I only speak the truth when it comes to my opinions!*

Review: Tampax Compak Pearl

I rarely see reviews on tampons on beauty blogs, and I do understand why as it's not as glamorous as showing off your new lipstick. But we all have periods and we all have to buy tampons or pads, so why not share a review with you on the only tampons I'll ever use?

Review: InstaNatural Scar Gel

Having a few scars here and there, I've tried a fair few treatments to fade them to no avail, so when the lovely people at InstaNatural sent me a bottle of their Scar Gel to test, I was more than happy to oblige...and I've been able to wave goodbye to some of the little pests already!
