One Box to Rule Them All

Having called time on my various beauty box subscriptions months ago following disappointment and hoards of unused beauty samples, I had given up on the idea altogether until I discovered My Little Box, a French subscription box which has made its way over to the UK and is now set to be my favourite monthly treat!

My Little Box / £11+£3.95 per month

What makes My Little Box stand out from the crowd is that it doesn't just make the rounds to every beauty brand going picking up samples. Each box has a theme and is really well thought out and executed; you really feel like you're being given a beautifully presented gift every month. The concept is that it is more than a beauty box, with each box comprising of a few beauty samples from big brands, as well as one own-brand item which is always gorgeously packaged. But that's not all - each month, they include amazing fashion or lifestyle accessories in addition to some amazing frame-worthy original illustrations and a really interesting magazine! Every month, the box is crammed full of goodies and surprises, making it worth every single penny and more!

Past boxes include a Weekend Box, which included a gorgeous toiletry bag and some fab beauty bits, and a Party Box with a bangle and a Nyx eyebrow pencil, to name but a few items. This month, however, I received the DVF Box - I know, I couldn't believe my eyes either! Diane von Furstenburg is a huge designer and I've lusted after her wrap dresses for years, so I was beside myself to find her classic print all over the box, as well as on an envelope inside, which I opened to find a genuine DVF scarf in her classic print! It can double up as a head wrap or hang from your bag too to jazz it up, but I have used it as a scarf since I got it and have received so many compliments! As if this wasn't enough, inside a canvas pouch were a Kerastase hairspray, a mini L'Occitane hand cream, and an own-brand Micellar Water which is absolutely wonderful! Not only this, I got a beautiful DVF illustration which I am going to frame, a "Love is Life" sticker, and a lips brooch (all DVF branded), as well as some vouchers and events invitations! Whew, that's a lot of stuff!

I think by now you've probably got the picture that I could not be more pleased about this box. I feel that it's really shaken up the beauty box arena, with its hybrid of beauty and accessories being the only box I am looking forward to each month.
