Saturday Night Makeup #6: Rouge Edition

My Saturday Night Makeup series is one of my favourite blog series' (see the others here) to publish, and this week I wanted a red lip and cheek combo to match my tartan shirt.

Giftspiration: The Goddess Guide!

Continuing my Giftspiration series (see here), I wanted to show you one of the loveliest gifts I have received from my friend Elle which takes pride of place on my bookcase and would glam up any space - as well as providing fabulous ideas!

Review: Fekkai Full Blown Volume Mousse

Look at this yellow bottle of heavenliness! I am all about the big, voluminous hair at the moment, so I rely on my Fekkai Styling Whip to give me the ultimate volume and hold.

Review: Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence

Lately, I started heat styling my hair more often than ever before, so I was really pleased to receive a sample of Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence in my Glamour Beauty Power List Box (see here); I'm happy to report that it was a match made in hair heaven!

Beauty Lust List #9: Winter 2014 Edition

Entering winter, I always want to stock up on luxurious beauty treats to get me in the party mood and comforting body products for the cold nights.

Review: Laura Mercier Foundation Primer

One thing that all makeup enthusiasts learn to understand in time is that a primer makes all the difference to your makeup, so finding the right one is essential. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer has reached cult status within the beauty community lately, and for good reason.

FOTD: Barbie Pink Lips!

My outfit for work today was black and white so I wanted to add a pop of colour - and what better way than bright Barbie pink lips?

Review: Bioderma Sensibio H20

I picked up a bottle of Bioderma Sensibio H20 from Escentual while the pump bottles were on offer, and it has fast become a staple in my skincare routine (see my current skincare routine post here) for removing makeup quickly and leaving my skin super clean.

My Current Skincare Routine!

Skincare is a huge part of my life; if my skin is bad, I feel bad. So I make sure that I always have the best products that work for my skin, which involves a lot of trial and error, but it has paid off and my current routine has shown amazing results. For the first time in many years, my routine has become streamlined and I use the same products for day and night!

Top 10 Beauty Products Tag!

I love a good tag post, and this one came to me courtesy of the lovely Juliana Grace. Here are my top 10 products...

Review: Vaseline Healthy Hands & Stronger Nails Cream

It is so important for your hands to be cared for properly as they show the early signs of ageing, but they are often neglected. Until recently, I let my hands become neglected too, until I discovered this Vaseline hand cream that actually makes me want to apply it!

The Indie Chicks Giveaway Entry: My Goal

The Indie Chicks, Queens of inspiration and self-empowerment are hosting a giveaway aimed at helping you achieve your goals (for details, read this post), the prize being the opportunity to be promoted on their website via their new Discover Feed! Amazing, right?

So, I thought I'd tell you about my current goal, which is to become completely satisfied with my blog, in terms of readership, content and layout. I absolutely love blogging; there is nothing that appeals to me more than testing products, taking and editing photos, writing up reviews and making wishlists all for the benefit of my readers. However, I am currently in a blogging slump and want to add a fresh coat of paint to my blog, so to speak.

Of course these are subjective goals which are difficult to measure, but there are three things I can aim to achieve which will massively increase my satisfaction with my blog;

1. Increase readership - I have already begun to make my social media presence better by engaging my readers on Twitter, but I can also vary the type of blog posts I write, and take part in more blogger tags and events. I can't wait to do this, and I know that a larger audience will mean I can engage more with my readers. Yay!

2. Improve content - this means more varied content, so more focus on fashion and lifestyle rather than just beauty. I am also learning better photo editing techniques and aim to make my photos look more "shiny", as this is a huge part of making your blog amazing, in my opinion.

3. Makeover my layout - I do actually like most parts of my layout, particularly the clean white background and letting the photos add the colour, but I would like to jazz it up a little with things like follow buttons and perhaps changing my header font, etc. This will just mean that I love my layout and get so much more blog satisfaction!

I have already started to work on some of my goals and I know that I'll achieve them all soon, but I would like to thank The Indie Chicks for actually giving me the push to make this post. I'd love to see your goals!

One Box to Rule Them All

Having called time on my various beauty box subscriptions months ago following disappointment and hoards of unused beauty samples, I had given up on the idea altogether until I discovered My Little Box, a French subscription box which has made its way over to the UK and is now set to be my favourite monthly treat!

Giftspiration: Q&A a Day Journal!

First up in my gift guide is a rather universal gift that is also rather thought-provoking and more special than a £10 gift card (we've all been there)!

Review: Mel Millis Phytonutri Qi Energising MM Face Peel

When I heard Mel Millis was launching the organic Phytonutri Qi range, I couldn't wait to try one of the four products (see here for my reaction), and I must say the Energising MM Face Peel has not left me disappointed.

The Game-Changer: Lash Perm & Tint!

My eyelash history is short and sad; I have long lashes but they were always pale, poker straight and wouldn't curl as well as I'd like with even the best curlers and mascaras. However, my lash-envy spurred me on to find a solution that was more viable (and natural) than falsies, and boy did I hit the jackpot!
