Review: Real Techniques Blush Brush

Until recently, blush wasn't a huge priority for my everyday makeup, but when buying the gorgeous Sleek Blush By 3 Palette in Pumpkin (see here) I knew I had to up my brush game, so I picked up this little gem. Spoiler: it is uh-may-zing!

Okay, let me start by saying that this brush has fast become one of my favourite brushes of all time! It is just such a pleasure to use and it always achieves a flawless look, and even better, it is so fluffy I could die (in the words of Agnes from Despicable Me). The shape and density means that it picks up powder and cream blushes with ease, and the light bristles allow you to see how much product is on the brush and adjust it accordingly. Size-wise, this little beauty is just the perfect size to sweep over your cheekbones and leave them defined and contoured. Blush is distributed quickly, easily and flawlessly.

As for maintenance, the brush is easy to clean (I go for the classic baby shampoo technique) and dries more quickly than some of the more dense brushes. The pink colour really adds a perfect contrast to the orange of the Core Collection that stands on my bureau, and as with those brushes it has a flat bottom so it can stand up by itself. I have even used this brush for bronzer, contouring, and applying loose powder, all of which it does with ease. At only £9.99, this brush is a real winner, and I am personally considering adding another to my arsenal.
