Review: Vichy Idéalia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream

After discovering the Vichy Idéalia Life Serum (review here) and BB Cream (review here) and absolutely loving them, when this lovely cream was sent through my door from the same collection I couldn't wait to give it a go. It's safe to say I haven't been disappointed...

Vichy Idéalia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream / £22 for 50ml

This Vichy cream is available for both normal to combination skin and dry to very dry skin, meaning that unless your skin is super oily, one of them will be suitable for you. My combination skin finds that the cream does relieve my T-zone oiliness slightly and I have had no problems with it at all. The cream itself is a strange balance between seeming quite thick and luxurious but actually feeling incredibly light and sinking in easily when applied to the face.

The cream can be applied as both a day and a night cream, but I must admit that I prefer to use it as a night cream because it does leave the skin feeling incredibly nourished and moisturised, and in the daytime I like something slightly lighter. Having said this, I can happily use this in the daytime, but being a beauty obsessive I have other creams (I'm lookin' at you, Avon Hydra Beyond - review here) that I prefer to use for this purpose.

Loads of gorgeous ingredients are packed in to this lovely pink cream, from AHAs to probiotics and vitamins, and it all comes together to really treat your skin. It really does live up to the claim of leaving your skin plump, smooth and hydrated! Although my skin is fairly smooth to begin with, this cream does make a difference, leaving it looking fresh and as if lit from within. A lovely cream for after a facial or a rough day to perk up the skin and make you look like you've had your 8 hours!
