Review: La Roche-Posay Physiological Cleansing Milk

When this cleansing milk came through my door, I was slightly concerned that it would not work on my combination skin due to being aimed at makeup removal for dry skin. However, I was very pleasantly surprised with the results.

This product, in the classic La Roche-Posay packaging, is called a "cleansing milk", which in my opinion makes it seem like a cleanser rather than the makeup remover that it actually is. However, the thick cream, I soon found, works both as a makeup remover and a moisturising cleanser, leaving skin squeaky clean and super soft!

You apply this little baby like any other remover, by swiping it over your face with a cotton pad. It works effectively on even waterproof makeup, and does a good job of tackling eye makeup too so it is a great product to take on your travels! The formula is non-comedogenic and has thermal spring water so it won't irritate your skin.

After using the cleanser, I noticed that my skin was not only completely clean, but also was extremely soft and moisturised! My skin looked so glowy and plumped, and I went to bed feeling as though I'd had a fancy facial! As the formula is free of alcohol, colourants, soap or parabens, it can be used with no worries and will not clog your pores or cause breakouts. In fact, I found that despite my combination skin, I had no problems at all with blemishes and found the cleanser to work beautifully!

I now use this cleanser every night to remove my makeup and have seen such a difference in my skin, which feels nourished and smooth. My sister with super dry skin also uses it now and then and it really works wonders at keeping her skin hydrated. A real winner!
