Review: La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

La Roche-Posay's Effaclar Duo has been hailed in the beauty world as the product to heal and prevent blemished skin, and since purchasing it months ago it has become a firm staple in my skin routine and I would go so far as to call Holy Grail! That's right, this baby has reached the elusive HG status for this blogger, and I will not be looking back.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo / £15.50 for 40ml

Targeted at preventing blemishes, unclogging pores and improving the general appearance of the skin , this gel can be applied either in small dabs on your areas of concern, or all over the skin before your moisturiser. Personally, I prefer to squeeze a pea-sized amount on to my finger and apply it in a thin layer to my T-zone after cleansing and toning and before moisturising. Not only does this clear up any existing blemishes, it also prevents new ones from appearing!

The formula of this light gel is incredibly effective, with everyone I have spoken to praising it. It seems that if you make it a part of your routine, blemishes are, for the most part, a thing of the past! Unlike other blemish treatments, this product is suitable for sensitive skin, and does not irritate your skin in any way. In fact, it sinks in to the skin quickly and easily, leaving no stickiness or residue.

However, the best part of this product in my opinion, other than its ease of use, is that it is not only a blemish treatment, but it also works to improve the appearance of the skin in general by reducing oiliness. Although I haven't found it to be completely effective at removing my oiliness, I have certainly seen a significant reduction in it to the point that it is barely an issue at all anymore! It really works wonders on my skin, leaving it feeling clean and fresh every use - I recommend it to everyone!
