Review: L'Oréal Skin Perfection Correcting Day Moisturiser and Serum

When L'Oréal's Skin Perfection range was launched with products aimed at people in their 20s to 30s, I was really excited to try some of the products. The Correcting Day Moisturiser and Advanced Correcting Serum took my fancy and I had quite high hopes, but nothing prepared me for the results I've had - it's official; these babies are true Holy Grail products!

The Skin Perfection range is for younger skin and is all about improving the skin quality; they refine the texture of the skin, tighten pores, and even the skin tone. Basically, the overall effect is that your skin is perfected. Of course, this is one almighty claim but I have to say, I absolutely agree with everything it says it does! After using the Day Moisturiser once a day and the Serum in the morning and evening for around 2 weeks, my skin is in the best condition of its life. My pores are reducing, my skin is soft and smooth but not oily at all despite my combination skin, and best of all, all redness and imperfections on my skin have disappeared! I had a lot of redness on my cheeks and chin, but now my skin tone is truly even, which is something no product has ever achieved before! I am so impressed!

The moisturiser itself comes beautifully packaged in a gorgeous glass tub which looks so expensive and high quality; I actually display this in my bathroom because it looks so nice! It is a good sized 50ml tub, and it only takes very little of the moisturiser to cover the face and neck. As for the texture, it feels rich and thick but when you apply it, it is so lightweight and doesn't sit in the pores at all. The non-comedogenic formula has been tested on all skin types and ethnicities, so it really does work for everyone, including me with combination skin and my sister with dry skin! I can't find any bad things to say about is product and I would highly recommend it to everyone! At £14.99, I will more than happily repurchase this again and again!

On to the serum, and it's a similar story here; the serum is so smooth and lightweight, and it applies so easily to the skin. You immediately feel as though your skin is moisturised and it feels like it's working. Again, the 30ml bottle is gorgeous and the formula is non-comedogenic and appropriate for all skin types. I actually look forward to using this product twice a day because of how luxurious it feels and the fact that I know how amazing my skin will look! For £19.99, I am thrilled with the results!

Used together or alone, these products are truly Holy Grail products and they have become essential skincare products for me. I now wish to venture out and explore the other products from the range, although I already own the Micellar water which is amazing (review to come soon) and I would definitely recommend it! So, the bottom line is that I can't fault these products and I would really urge you to try them.

  8. I'm glad to hear you've had good results so far. I have combination skin (sometimes the T is shiny and there is the occasional blemish) with visible pores, so this moisturizer sounded promising. However, after one week of using it, I've noticed that I have gotten way more blemishes than usual. I really hope that this is just a case of 'getting used to it'. Anyone else noticed this?
