Review: MUA Nail Polish in Pistachio Ice Cream

I have wanted a pastel green nail polish for a while, so I couldn't resist picking up Pistachio Ice Cream from MUA's new nail polish line when I saw it, especially since it was only £1!

This shade is absolutely perfect for summer, either worn alone or as part of some lovely nail art - it is definitely a shade that every girl needs in their nail polish arsenal. The formula of this polish is pretty good; I've had better, and I've had worse, but it is certainly a good formula for the price. It takes roughly 2 coats to make the colour opaque, but it does require being quite careful and steady-handed. I wouldn't let it put you off by any means though, as it is a nice polish which lasts for a reasonable amount of time and isn't too prone to chipping.

Okay, so let's address the elephant in the room here. Clearly, MUA have been highly influenced by the Essie bottle, with very little difference between them other than the fact that their logos are different and the MUA bottles are a fair bit smaller. I know some people think they've crossed a line here, but personally I'm not too fussed by it, particularly when it only costs £1 for a nice nail polish that I will actually get use out of.

Overall, I think this is a nice polish amd the range has some really gorgeous pastel colours that are worth giving a try.

  1. I think some of them are worse quality than others. I got a pale blue and I would have spent all day trying to get it opaque, but you can't expect much for such a small price. This colour is gorgeous!

    1. That doesn't surprise me, they are fairly average quality. The colour is really lovely though and you can't really complain when they cost £1! X
