Pamper Sunday: Foot Soak and Massage

Whether you've been wearing heels on Saturday night or had a long week on your feet, it is important to put some time aside as often as possible to give your feet some TLC. As much as we would all love a weekly professional foot massage, for most people that just isn't a viable option. But not to fret - you can pamper your feet without the fancy foot spas using things you already own!

First up, you're going to need some form of bowl or container that you can use to soak your feet. As silly as it sounds, a clean washing up bowl or a baby bath works perfectly for this! Well, we are working on a budget after all. Fill your "foot spa" with water at a nice warm temperature that you're comfortable with, place it on top of a soft towel on the floor in front of a comfy seat. Make sure you have your slippers/socks ready to slip on afterwards too!

Now it's time to add some nice products to the water. I like to add a nice nourishing oil, like Caudalíe Divine Oil, and a gorgeous smelling shower gel (preferably with moisturising properties), like my Lush Happy Hippy. Basically just pour in any lovely oils and lotions that will soften and relax your feet. Then it's time to just sit back and let your feet soak in the warm water for as long as you wish - this never fails to relax me instantly! It is also great to burn a relaxing candle at the same time.

When you're ready, you can massage the feet. Use your fingertips and knuckles to knead the bottoms of your feet, focussing on pressure points, like the balls of the feet. This is perfect to ease any tension and make your feet feel relaxed and like new! You can then soak your feet for as long as you wish. Trust me, you won't want to remove them!

To finish off, dab your feet gently on the towel and rub in your favourite oil or rich body butter. I like to apply it very generously so that it is super moisturising. My favourite body butter to use for this at the moment is Nip and Fab Pistachio Sundae Body Butter because it smells heavenly and is really nourishing. The last step is just to pop on your socks or slippers and enjoy how amazing your feet feel!

I love to do this at least once a week, and it really does work to relax and nourish your feet. Let me know how it goes!
