Beauty Lust List #8: Christmas Edition!

I absolutely love Christmas, and this year my wishlist is full of beauty goodies I've had my eye on for a while. Hopefully I'll find one or two of these in my stocking this year!

Review: Vichy Idéalia Life Serum

So I'm back after a hiatus for getting back into my Uni routine, and I thought what better way to mark my return than to talk about a product that has been a lifesaver to my skin recently following late nights and early mornings.

Review: L'Oréal Skin Perfection Correcting Day Moisturiser and Serum

When L'Oréal's Skin Perfection range was launched with products aimed at people in their 20s to 30s, I was really excited to try some of the products. The Correcting Day Moisturiser and Advanced Correcting Serum took my fancy and I had quite high hopes, but nothing prepared me for the results I've had - it's official; these babies are true Holy Grail products!

Weight Loss Wednesday: Week 3

I may have been absent on here for a little while (life is getting in the way slightly) but my diet is still going strong, and I'm definitely getting more and more into it as the days go on. Here's how this week went...

Weight Loss Wednesday: Week 2

It's just a short post this week because I've been eating pretty much the same as last week, with lots of chicken and salads, but I don't expect to lose as much weight because I had a cheat day for my brother's girlfriend's birthday (don't judge!). Okay, so here is how I got on...

Weight Loss Wednesday: Week 1

Yay, week one of my weight loss regime is complete! And I must say, I've actually enjoyed it! I think I've made a good start and am definitely on the right track. I didn't manage to do as much exercise as I'd hoped due to it just being too hot, but I've made a start and I can only progress from there. So here's a rundown of how I did...

Review: Impress Press-On Manicure

As my nails haven't been in great condition recently, I thought I'd try out these press-on nails, which I've been meaning to buy for ages. Having had problems in the past with at-home manicures, I didn't have the highest expectations, but I must say, I am actually very *ahem* impressed (sorry!)...

Pamper Sunday: Bomb Cosmetics Little Hottie Wax Melts

I love nothing more than lying back and relaxing with a good book and a gorgeous scented wax melt burning, and this Pamper Sunday that is what I'll be doing. As a gift for finishing my exams, my Mum bought me a box of "Little Hotties" (cute, right?) and they've fast become my favourite wax melts!

My Bucket List!

When I saw that Money Supermarket were hosting a Bucket List competition (see here), I knew I had to share mine with you! My list contains some budget items and some extravagant items, all of different difficulty to achieve.

Saturday Night Makeup #5: Cowgirl Edition!

After last week's Carnival themed fancy dress makeup, this week's fancy dress is Cowgirl themed! The aim was rosy cheeks, a brown smokey eye, freckles and subtle red lips.

Weight Loss Wednesday: The Beginning!

My new series is here! In a bid to log my weight loss and hopefully gain support and motivate others, I will be writing about the progress from my weight loss regime every Wednesday! So, let's talk about my situation...

Review: Vichy Idéalia BB Cream

You are all aware of my ongoing search for the perfect BB Cream, because I love the idea of what they claim to achieve, but as of yet none I've tried have quite lived up to the mark. Until now...

Get The Look: Beyoncé!

I'm just going to put it out there - Beyoncé is my idol. If I could be anyone, it would be her. So of course, what better way to continue my Get The Look series than to find the perfect Beyoncé style makeup! My favourite look of hers is the black liner and lashes, balanced by a neutral pink mouth, which should be easy enough to recreate (although I will never look as good!). She actually does her own makeup for performances and is very open about the products she uses.

Hello, Bloglovin'!

As you are all well aware by now, it is time for us all to say goodbye to GFC and hello to Bloglovin'! I won't pester you all with it, but I would love if you'd follow me on Bloglovin' so we can keep in touch, and you can see my last post on this if you're interested in how to import your GFC blogs over! Thank you all for supporting me and following my blog - see you on Bloglovin'!

Saturday Night Makeup #4: Carnival Edition!

The end of year parties are in full swing at my University, and of course I love fancy dress, so when the theme Rio Carnival came up I was so excited to create a makeup look for it! I wanted it to suit the theme but not be too crazy, so I came up with this wearable look that I think worked well.

Beauty Blogger Tag

I love a good tag! Thank you to the lovely Elle from xGardenofEdenx for tagging me! Now please read on if you're interested in reading about my beauty habits...

Review: Barry M Trio Eyeshadow in Golden Goddess

As you are all well aware by now, I'm a sucker for a nice eyeshadow palette. Whilst on the hunt for a simple, neutral palette which was small enough to pop in my travel bag, with a nice brown shade to use as a liner, I came across this Barry M Trio Eyeshadow palette.

Beauty News: Tom Ford Makeup Line for Men

Following the recent trend towards men becoming more "metrosexual", it should come as no surprise that the beauty world would soon find a way to accommodate the demands of a more appearance conscious group of men. As a man who wears makeup himself, Tom Ford is the perfect person to launch a makeup line specifically to cater to men.

Pamper Sunday: Foot Soak and Massage

Whether you've been wearing heels on Saturday night or had a long week on your feet, it is important to put some time aside as often as possible to give your feet some TLC. As much as we would all love a weekly professional foot massage, for most people that just isn't a viable option. But not to fret - you can pamper your feet without the fancy foot spas using things you already own!

Review: Avène D-Pigment Dark Spot Lightener in Light

I have problems with pigmentation on my chin, for which I am always on the look out for products to help fade them. Having recently discovered and loved some other Avène products, I had high hopes for their D-Pigment Dark Spot Lightener, and I must say, I am not disappointed!

Saturday Night Makeup #3

For my friend's 21st birthday meal and night out, I thought I'd opt for a slightly tanned look (tanned for me anyway) with a neutral smoky eye and a glossy light pink lip. I found that this look was pretty in the pictures and lasted all night (despite being ridiculously hot in one particular bar). Prepare to be astonished at the amount of products I used...

Summer Edit: Hair!

Wow, I can't believe I'm on the fourth instalment of my Summer Edit series already! So far, I've talked about summer handbags, skincare and makeup, so I thought today I would talk about my summer hair routine and favourite products. In the summer, I like to spend as little time as possible styling my hair, and rarely use heat. Instead, I prefer to use nourishing products to minimise any sun damage and let my naturally wavy hair shine through (without letting my frizz flag fly!)!

Recently, I was contacted about a voucher website, LoveMyVouchers. I thought the name was cute, so I checked it out and have been pleasantly surprised.

There are vouchers for everything, but obviously my favourite section is the beauty section, which offers vouchers for Neal's Yard Remedies, Pai Skincare, Superdrug, St Tropez, Wahanda and more! I would really urge you to check it out!

See the bottom of this page for some amazing beauty discounts!

Summer Edit: Makeup Routine

You guys have already seen my first two Summer Edits (handbags and skincare), so today I thought I'd bring you my third, and favourite, instalment! Here is my makeup routine for the summer.

Beauty News: The Rich is Back by Benefit and Matthew Williamson

Who doesn't love a new Benefit beauty kit?! Even more so when they have collaborated with British fashion designer Matthew Williamson to bring us a gorgeous disco-inspired makeup - I must get my hands on this baby!

Beauty News: Orly Gel FX Shade Shifter Polish

As we all know, I'm a huge fan of quirky nail polish, so you can imagine how excited I was when I heard about Orly's new colour changing polish!

Summer Edit: Skin and Body Care Routine

I started my Summer Edit series with the perfect handbags (here), but I thought I'd now get back on the topic of beauty and talk about my best skincare picks, for both face and body, for summer.

Review: Clarins Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balm in Crystal Berry

Once again, I have been sold by a berry shade lip product - I just can't resist them! Especially not when I came across the novel limited edition Crystal Lip Balms by Clarins...

Glossybox June 2013

I haven't posted about Glossybox for a while but I cancelled my subscription for a while after receiving this month's box because I am really unimpressed and want to leave it until I think the boxes get better again. So here is why I am disappointed...

Review: MUA Nail Polish in Pistachio Ice Cream

I have wanted a pastel green nail polish for a while, so I couldn't resist picking up Pistachio Ice Cream from MUA's new nail polish line when I saw it, especially since it was only £1!

Review: Avon Naturals Hair Conditioning Balm

I have actually already reviewed the Avon Naturals Hair Conditioning Balm (read it here) but that was a long time ago, and I felt that it was time to update you guys on it seeing as it is still a firm staple in my hair routine!

Review: Avène Cleanance Mask

I am absolutely obsessed with face masks, but I have to really feel it working to combat my combination skin and occasional blemishes to fall in love with a mask. This can cause problems, though, because I have sensitive skin that can react badly to some masks. This is where the Avène Cleanance Mask comes in, because it contains their Thermal Spring Water (review here) which soothes skin, at the same time as providing deep cleansing and exfoliation. Perfect.

Review: Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser for Normal Skin

Okay, show of hands - who can be bothered to apply a body moisturiser every day? No? No one? Didn't think so! We all know it can be a hassle to apply a moisturiser over our entire bodies and wait for it to dry before getting dressed, and it certainly isn't a habit that's easy to maintain. So on Nivea releasing their new In Shower Body Moisturisers, I felt I could practically hear a combined cheer from my fellow busy people. Seriously, why hasn't this been done before?!

Macdonald Hotel Manchester Spa Day Experience

It is one of my best friend's 21st birthday coming up soon, and so we celebrated by going for a few treatments at the Macdonald Hotel and Spa in Manchester. I opted for a scalp massage (30 mins) as part of the Twilight Spa Package and a Lava Shell massage (1 hour), whilst my friend had a Geleration manicure and facial, as well as the Lava Shells.

Review: Models Own Ice Neon Nail Polish in Bubblegum

As we all know, when it comes to accessories and nails, I'm all about bright colours and quirky patterns. When I received the neon pink "Bubblegum" varnish shade from the Models Own Ice Neon collection in my Selfridges Summer Beauty Box (review here), I was thrilled and I knew I'd found my summer shade.

Review: Avène Thermal Spring Water

I have had very little experience with Eau Thermale Avène products in general, but have always wanted to try them due to the fact that I have very irritable, sensitive skin, which is exactly what the brand specialise in. As we have had some sun recently (yay!), I thought what better time to try their famous Thermal Spring Water.

How To: Use Caudalíe Beauty Elixir

Kicking off my new How To series, I thought the perfect product to talk about would be the much-hyped and much-misunderstood Caudalíe Beauty Elixir. Despite taking the beauty world by storm, nobody really knows how to use it or whether it actually does anything, provoking me to do a little digging...

Review: Barry M Sequin Nail Effects in Pink

When it comes to my nails, I like it bright and quirky, so when I saw the launch of Barry M Sequin Nail Effects, I was dying to try it out.

Summer Edit: Handbags!

Strictly speaking, this is a beauty blog. However, it should
be no surprise by now that I am almost as obsessed with handbags as
I am with beauty me, that is not easy (especially on
my bank balance). I have quite a large collection of
handbags, many of which are super bright and summery. Here are
my pick of the best for summer handbags. Be warned: I don't do
boring bags!

Pamper Sunday: Sanctuary Spa Ultimate Facial Oil

So it's Pamper Sunday again (after a long hiatus since I started
exams - sorry!) and it is definitely
the perfect day to use Sanctuary Spa Ultimate Facial Oil to
replenish the skin after Saturday night...

Review: BelláPierre Super Gloss in Raspberry

I received a BelláPierre lipgloss in a beauty box recently,
but had no expectations because I am very specific about
lipgloss - it has to be non-sticky, non-shimmery, and not too
"Barbie", if that makes sense. However, my reservations were completely
unfounded, and I do believe I've actually found a Holy Grail product!

"Follow Me" Links

Just a quick update on how to follow
my blog on various websites. I also want to thank
you guys for your support, and let you know that I appreciate
every follower and every comment!

Please also follow me on GFC and Google+ with
the links in my sidebar :-) thank you!

What's in my "Essentials" Bag?

Since my original What's in my Handbag post (here), I
have had a little change around with what I carry in my bag after I
found it too messy and disorganised. When I saw this cute bag (which
is supposed to be used as a pencil case) from Paperchase, I knew
it was perfect to hold all my bits and bobs without messing
up the inside of my bags, and enabling me to use a different handbag every
day by just popping this little "essentials" bag inside!
